I tried to join a hexbear community (!music@hexbear.net) and found I couldn't access it via my Sopuli account. I gotta be honest, I don't keep up with all the Lemmy/federation drama, but can anyone give me a quick summary of why we aren't federating with hexbear?

Weird. All of my interactions with hexbear have been in novelty communities like !music, so I hadn't seen any of that. I'm aware of the lemmy.ml - tankie connection, just hadn't heard that about hexbear. Interesting.

I can't wait till the day comes everyone else is as pissed off with this 'political' / black and white / us and them bickering as I am. These Berlin walls zigzagging the Fediverse will get taken down someday. sheesh

Gotcha, just read it. Thanks for the explanation. Suck that there are some decent-ish "normal" communities there, but it's not like there's a shortage of alternate options, so I guess it all sort of pans out in the end. Cheers.
