Curve right now. Granted you have to Register yourself with a Credit Card from them, but then you can add your existing ones onto the App and instruct Android to use that App instead of Pay.
I read their Privacy Policy. They share a lot of Data with other companys. I know for that this is needed to transfer the money, but they also share data with advertising companys. I think Wero would be better in that point
Some banks offered it. For their own customers. But not anymore. And I believe there was Yandex pay. (But comming from Russia you would probably wat to avoid that too)

Not yet but hopefully in the next months: https://wero-wallet.eu/

Wero won't support credit cards AFAIK (unlike the payment app OP mentioned), only bank accounts. Or do you talk about paying from an app in general?

Oh, that’s correct. Wero is just SEPA underneath.

Just... 🤔 SEPA might be all one needs to pay in all situations. I think Wero is a good idea and indeed already have the app installed.

Many European banks have their own contactless payment solutions. Here are some examples (it's a German article): https://www.kuketz-blog.de/nfc-datenschutzfreundlich-bezahlen-mit-dem-android-phone/
They usually also work on (not European, but Canadian) GrapheneOS with no issues.

yea, but sadly my bank doesn't have such an app. i think I'l have to stick with my debit card until a better solution comes up

For what purpose? And what country/region?
Stzyxh@feddit.org · 5 pts · 1y
For paying in supermarkets or shops

If you need contactless or card payments in a shop; use your card.
Unless the shop supports a scheme through an app or other service. That depends on the shop and the region.

I don't think there's any plan for Wero to support NFC payments

There is. Supposedly coming in 2026.
