I find the translucent tab/navigation bar to be distracting and much prefer a solid color. I was wondering if I’m the only one, I also opened a PR for this, hopefully that makes it through :)
It’s just an optional appearance setting btw, so it’s not taking away the translucent version.
Update: it’s been merged and will hopefully come with the next update (under Settings → accessibility → Translucent Insets)

Turn off ‘reduce translucency’ in the system accessibility settings

Yeah I never noticed this because I’ve had “reduce transparency” set for years now.

Thanks for mentioning, I didn’t think of that. I still prefer to have "reduce transparency" off in general, it’s just a bit too much in Mlem and I prefer the look of having it completely turned off. Also with "reduce transparency" it’s definitely better, but still somewhat transparent and more gray than black in dark mode.

neither, I’d be cool if it disappeared completely like it does in Safari

Nope, I’m in love with translucency.

Fair enough, that’s not being taken away ^^

As optional it’s cool, right :)
