Honestly when reading the book I imagined them all as blank sticks. Maybe that's just me, but nothing seemed to suggest they had fancy handles or anything.
Standard issue to protect your identity? It’s not like you CANT use someone else’s wand, it’s just that you’ll use the bonded one best, as far as I understand

I also mostly imagined them as like particularly straight twigs you can pick up off the forest floor.
I mean, yes, you need to put in the wand core, but it is a magic world so I thought they just repaired it
