Again - sorry if this is a repost - but it seems like /u/ernest is listed as the owner of every single magazine that isn't on Kbin.
I'm pretty sure he's the sole moderator on Kbin for those instances; but the "owner" designation is misleading?

I've noticed too. In my opinion in the place of the "owner", for federated magazines/communities it should say the host of the community like lemmy.world for example

I think this would be the best too. Just like when you see a post thread and it says "This is federated, click the instance to see more", change the
Ownerto the root instance level or link to the community/magazine of the federated content.BentiGorlich@thebrainbin.org · 7 pts · 3y
On my instance I am the owner and moderator of every remote magazine, so basically all of them. I already created an Issue on Coderberg about this: #243 and ernest has an additional issue open #12

there is an issue about it on the main repo.
It is intended but I agree, maybe just remove the whole field when the mag is federated, or show the real owners in the specific instance that the magazine belongs to.

There's a risk here of reputational damage when Ernest or other instance admins show up as the owner for some of the less savory communities out there.
