Yeah it is a bug in lemmy. We put the image first in the attachements and lemmy only uses the first attachement. A fix is on its way with the next release :)
Not conciously at least. If you don't have Javascript enabled in the tor browser it might be that you're stuck behind an Anubis challenge. What exactly do you see when trying to load the site?
There is nothing wrong with kbin.earth. Email providers marking mails as spam is not an indicator about the instance whatsoever...
The instance is actually hosted by the developer of Interstellar.
Mbin does not currently offer instance migration. It is a long awaited feature, but there are just other things blocking it currently. But even if instance migration was a feature like it is on Mastodon for example, you'd probably still leave your data behind. The thing that is being migrated is mostly your identity and your followers (in Mastodons case).
If you want to be sure that there is no data left behind, just delete your account, that way everything you posted is being deleted from the server.
I use one for mbin and I think the main benefit is the separation from the browser. No distracting tabs, you cannot accidentally close the mbin tab, etc.
yeah exactly. On mbin it works this way and lemmy inserting the link breaks that. But it does it for communities in the community description sometime as well, though I don't know if it is just a user "error" or a lemmy error

Actually that behaviour is very annoying to other platforms. Mbin for example can only link to the lemmy server this user is on and no longer the local profile of that user.
Example:
@ user @ lemmy.instance gets converted to [@ user @ lemmy.instance](https:// lemmy.instance/u/user
so on mbin this does not open the profile of the user on the local server, but instead links the lemmy instance, so you leave your instance to view the profile.
(spaces included so this won't get converted to mentions, etc)
Well I did set one up today and the mails land in the spam folder for GMX, GMail and Microsoft (@live.de), although I set up SPF, rDNS, and DKIM. I have to take a look at how to setup DMARC, beacause my domain hoster doesn't allow free configuration of the TXT entries, you have to use templates and there isn't one for DMARC
I wouldnt say that. however setting uo your own mail server is a lot of work, as you have to abide a lot of "security" rules (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, rDNS). Additionally some hosters reuire you to apply for port 25 to be unblocked (e.g. hetzner)
On my instance I am the owner and moderator of every remote magazine, so basically all of them. I already created an Issue on Coderberg about this: #243 and ernest has an additional issue open #12

The field is for hashtags. If you're fine with them appearing in the text you can also ignore the field and just add the hashtags in your text

Oh that should definitely not be possible... So we'll fix that as soon as possible. Reporting those messages is also on our radar
