Titan Quest was my favorite Diablo clone. I hope the second one lives up to its legacy.

Grim Dawn is a similar concept with a different story if you're looking for something similar as well.

Pretty sure some of the original Titan Quest team worked on it if I remember correctly.

Did we have many options then? I vaguely recall Nox.

For a moment I completely forgot this was a game series and thought, "why the hell did they build another submarine?"

spankmonkey@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y

Oh, I thought it was a game about seeing how far you could dive with another of the same sub before it imploded...

Played theough the original and Atlantis a couple times with a good friend of mine. Sucks this one is single player only.

Whaaaaaaaaat?!

My wife and I were looking forward to this. We played the original together a bunch of times.

Oh well, thanks for sharing, will go look for something else. Damn.

It's single player only for Early Access. It'll have multiplayer at full release at the latest.

At least if nothing changed in that regard since Gamescom.

Oh okay. We shall continue to wait then :)

I've been looking forward to this one. So much of this genre is going live service and online-only, and these people are some of the few making just a video game. I'm pretty new to this genre, but I liked that last Titan Quest quite a bit, and I'm looking forward to a lot of the modern sensibilities the genre acquired in the past 20 years, like dodge rolls and perhaps WASD/left-stick movement.

The original Titan Quest was one of, if not the last, physical game i ever bought. I never got it working on my computer at the time, but I will never forget it just because of the fact I still possess the physical case and disc.
