Fuuuuuuuck, this one hurts. I'm on the verge of getting a final at work because I can easily focus on helping everyone else and working on side projects and all that, but I can't get my work done.

Which is fucked up because you are actively contributing a ton indirectly by making others work faster. But that doesn't matter. All the matters is the number of tickets you churn out.

Have you considered everyone passing their work to the person to the left of them? Now everyone is doing someone else’s work!

Just start the project and soon enough the powers within take control. The end project is immense, mega, epic, and it's only 3:30am.
