I think I only kinda saw the movie long time ago once. I for sure didn't know he was dead, I thought it was the kid that was bad all the time. I don't know.

He was a psychologist who didn't even realize his patients (aside from the kid with the bad vibes) didn't see or hear him.
He hadn't been "at work" in years if you catch my drift.
