When I'm, at events every other time I start following a train of thought someone comes up to me and asks "are you alright" because apparently I look shocked or something when I zone out...
I've done this a lot and I have to be mindful not to. It's easy to do. I'm also Autistic so little eye contact means eyes need to go somewhere, but can't go down!
Yeah usually I stare at my own feet. A woman I dated a long time ago used to pinch my nose and turn my head to look at her when she was talking. (I thought it was cute.)

One time when I was zoned out and lost in thought, it turned out that I was staring directly at some woman's chest the whole time.
