Because if we've learned anything from the Trump era, it's that laws restricting candidacy for president apply evenly to everyone, so we should play by the rules.

He's a naturalized citizen. He can't run for president.
And trump (and every last centrist) wants to revoke his citizenship to keep him out of the race.
