That’s the most 45 looking 30 year old I’ve ever seen.

The 90s were weird, and these style glasses everyone wore didn't help.

simplejack@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 1y (4 replies)

That’s more of a late 70’s vibe.

bobs_monkey@lemmy.zip · 5 pts · 1y (3 replies)

The picture yeah, but I remember my dad and a lot of others had that same style of glasses (though with thinner frames) well into the mid 90s.

simplejack@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1y (1 reply)

I guess it spends where you lived. All the cool folks in the major metro areas were rocking smaller circular or oval frames.

Yup, small lenses and thin wire frames were the defining trend of the 90's. And there was a bit of a frameless trend where the earpieces and nose bridge screwed directly into the lens itself. See this picture of Jennifer Aniston as an example.

Bush senior is the platonic ideal of those glasses at the turn of the 1990s.

New Bezos looks like his return in season 4, where he pops out behind the season finale boss while she's giving a monologue about monsters rising up, implying she's a necromancer.

This guy really gets my goat. Supposedly, he is a quant. Even though he is a quant, he cellar boxes businesses and cheated in business every step of the way.

Has every advantage and still decides to be a scum worm.

He looks like he’s about to ask if I’m ready to accept the lord Jesus Christ into my life. That belt couldn’t be any higher.

It is when he jerks it, and we can all cross fingers that the buckle slips at just the right moment so his eyes match forever.
