ryanee@fedia.io · 2 pts · 1y
i didnt notice at the time from PieFed side displayed the link in a broken way but on mbin looks fine as
https://mstdn.social/@Snoopy@piefed.social/114792668293758606without the code formatting of course. Here a Friendica link to your post here too

The in-line spoiler tag doesn't work on Piefed's web app for me. I'm using a chromium browser.
I'd attach a picture to prove it but I haven't figured out how to do that yet.

This should be working again.
Here is a sentence with a || spoiler ||.
wjs018@piefed.social · 2 pts · 1y
@snoopy@piefed.social - you will need to edit your post again to put the proper markdown back in for in-line spoilers. The brief period of time it was broken meant that the markdown syntax was replaced by html which won't display right.
SorryImLate@piefed.social · 1 pts · 1y
The sentence in this comment is working, thanks.

Seems like rimu broke it last night. I just submitted a PR to fix it, but it will probably be another 12 hours or so before it gets pushed live due to timezone differences.
This is how it should look:
jupiter_rowland@hub.netzgemeinde.eu · 2 pts · 1y
Here is how Hubzilla shows it.
And here is how (streams) shows it; on Forte, it would look the same.

Thank a lot for your help :)

Is there an intro / index to markdown being used here? I seem to have skipped that page. Mostly, I get it, but I could use the basic outline / legend / key.
Snoopy@piefed.social · 2 pts · 1y
I will update this post.
Here is the list of PieFed Markdown : https://piefed.social/community/fediverse/wiki/piefed-markdown
The goal here is just testing the rendering of PieFed's Markdown accross the fediverse.

That's the stuff! Thank you.
Ugh, just realizing that link was at top of page. Thanks for your patience. I'm learning.
Snoopy@piefed.social · 2 pts · 1y
No, it's thank to you, the link wasn't here before, i updated my post yesterday :)

@Snoopy @ryanee@community.nodebb.org @ryanee@anonsys.net @ryanee@fedia.io @ryanee@piefed.social @ryanee@micro.blog not that anyone here likely will use microdotblog but i was curious how it'd look https://micro.blog/ryanee@infosec.exchange/68349161

Thank again :) I'm leaving the post as it is. I hope it will bring the question of creating a standarized markdown for the fediverse. :)
jupiter_rowland@hub.netzgemeinde.eu · 1 pts · 1y
@Snoopy Unless (streams) and Forte introduce observer-dependent Markdown, just like they've inherited observer-dependent BBcode from Hubzilla.
Also, no-one will ever get the various *keys to move from MFM to one standard Markdown that didn't originate on Misskey.
Snoopy@piefed.social · 1 pts · 1y
Anyways, i do believe dev must push a standarized markdown. It would solve many rendering issue accross software. 😔
