A Linux version planned ?

Hi,

A little question for the devs of CoMaps. Is a build for Linux (.appimage) is planned ? 🙏

Thanks.

There is one already on AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/comaps

CoMaps is mostly still the same as organic maps, so if you find a script, build instructions for OM, it should work for comaps as well, just change the source.

Why appimage and not a flatpak? I would like one too

Because flatpak is wasteful on storage space.

Also organicmaps is already available on flathub, so it should be rather trivial to distribute comaps as well, an appimage would be a nicd addition.

In contrast to Flatpak and Snap, the AppImage package itself is the final executable program.
This means there’s no installation needed... and it simpler..
