Me and my puter with NixOS on it, also 2 ssh sessions to my vps and homeserver (an old mini pc).
I also relatively recently got a Gaming Handheld (an aSUS rog ally) for really cheap from my sister which i use to play games because my laptop has gotten too old for new AAA titles. I put Bazzite on it because I didn't want to tinker with NixOS before getting to game.

At the end is a laptop with lots of nixos logos on the screen (3 hyfetch outputs for different machines (2 over ssh)). On the laptop is an asus rog ally (steam deck but less cool and comes with windows by default) with bazzite fastfetch output piped though lolcat. Behind that is a shelf with some folders and potted plants.

The same frame but my legs are now crossed. The gaming handheld has moved and is laying flat on my crotch.

Those are cool sox 😮 how's bazzite on the ally? Does suspend work? Are controls properly supported?

Bazzite works very good. Not sure if suspend works.

Controls work perfectly, although in some GOG games (via Heroic) steam interfered so I had to close it before starting the game. Switching to the non-deck variant completely solved that problem. The non-deck variant also seems to handle OOM situations better for me.

But Gnome is totally usable with a touchpad and i mostly run non-steam games anyway.

May I suggest getting antimicrox to use the controller as a mouse (and some keyboard buttons)
You can also write a script that kills/launches the program so you can switch between controller and mouse
