moving on is easier than i thought

i recently broke up with my ex, and surprisingly, moving on from him is far easier than i thought. i've already been talking to him less and unblocked him as a second chance (he started being nicer), but i definitely will be careful. considering i was "addicted" to him, i'm weaning it off until i don't think about him at all.

If you're unsure, you can always describe here what he did and we can try to assess, although remember that we would only be reading your side of the story.

well, he would one minute be affectionate, and the next, be unsure if he wanted me and say "let's break up". he also asked me to do stuff for him a lot or would be happy if i did but never did stuff for me. he called my interests "boring" or 'dumb". rude, but i don't think it's ABUSE

That doesn't sound like someone anyone would want to be with until that behavior improves. It doesn't have to be abuse to be unstable and/or unsustainable. Continual rudeness has no place in a long-term/lifelong relationship, right?

Just remember, they could have been nice the whole time. Just didn’t want to. I wouldn’t speak to them at all.
