Hmm, I have indeed been successfully using TLP to limit battery charging to 80% but I haven't looked into what else it can do. Thanks for the reminder that it does more than just do that, haha. I guess I'll poke around to see if it can help reduce the depletion rate.
The line break system is weird and should be opt-in, not opt-out, but yes, otherwise, Geany is great! I've otherwise simply been using Xed on Linux Mint.
She doesn't seem to be aware of nor interested in a different lifestyle. You clearly cannot jive together, and I think her attitude is wrong because she keeps bringing it up to justify it, like it's a major point of emotional insecurity for her (or else she wouldn't mention it half as much) that you clearly don't have to and shouldn't need to put up with. Get outta there already!
The conservatives I know all have this mindset: "It'll figure itself out. The drive for profit always finds a way." It's a nearly admirable amount of trust, if only it wasn't so horrendously misplaced.
Hey, there's nothing wrong with that. I bought FTL through a Humble Bundle and that was literally the only game in its entire bundle that I cared about even to this day. It was absolutely worth it.
Well, he literally called dissenters 10-y.o.'s, and that kind of behavior is not "harmless" as the mindset behind it bleeds into other, related abuse and negativity.
You didn't actually say whether all/any of these movies appealed to you, though. Did you like The Odyssey? Also, you really should have checked out Obsession. That movie is way too good to reduce to just a home theater viewing.
Yes, this original scene was about hiding their spears against oncoming cavalry. I'm not sure of what @saltesc@lemmy.world is referring to but that is entirely something else.
Nothing is worth that much after you've tasted the an epic games bundle from Fanatical, etc. that gave you hundreds of hours of solid enjoyment from games at a total of <$10. At least, that's what I've experienced as an unintentional member of !patientgamers@sh.itjust.works...
Tesseract seems to be some kind of platform for Lemmy; I'm not sure if it's an Android app or just a web app. The dev has enacted a shadowban list to try to reduce calls for violence, homophobia, xenophobia, etc. I don't seem to be on the most, and I had either way never heard of Tesseract before. I personally use Blorp to surf Lemmy.
You also said, "but made by a quintillionaire," as if that is a point lowering its indie status, and as if money is the defining aspect of indie vs. AAA.
From what I understand, this is more about legitimately good posts getting deleted and basically the solid info amid the responses getting lost/inaccessible as a result. Despite the decreased anonymity, the loss of information for the hive mind is severer than on Reddit, where deleted stuff can still show up in search engines, or something like that. I don't remember the details of how it works but it's a mounting problem with Lenny's design. Perhaps a better explanation by me elsewhere in this post: https://programming.dev/comment/24979223
Interesting. Thanks, I had never heard of this before.

Sickening. I had no idea she was being attacked in this way.

Thanks, wow, that's quite the ecchi plot hook: https://myanimelist.net/anime/458/Buttobi_CPU
It might be appealing to people who have never seen the original before.
Not for long if this keeps plunging!

Or persuade them...
We always have and I've often ignored big corp.

Liquid Container, son of Paper.
