fitted sheet: over here too boys, lots of room

ivanafterall@kbin.social · 15 pts · 2y

God forbid you also put a flat sheet in. You're better off just throwing the whole tangled mess in the trash, washing machine included.

Shirts: let's all hold hands!

Literally think of this meme any time I'm washing a duvet cover or fitted sheet

Micromot@lemmycook.de · 9 pts · 2y (6 replies)

I just always close them after taking them off the bed

pomodoro_longbreak@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 2y (5 replies)

What... do you mean? Like fold them up so nothing can get in? That works??

Micromot@lemmycook.de · 3 pts · 2y (4 replies)

They have a zipper or buttons

BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Some of my duvet covers just have an opening and nothing to close it.

Micromot@lemmycook.de · 1 pts · 2y

I don't have those

pomodoro_longbreak@sh.itjust.works · 0 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Oh what about fitted sheets

Micromot@lemmycook.de · 2 pts · 2y

idk they kind of still do that by themselves, maybe wash them all at once if you have enough for a load

BabaYaga@reddthat.com · 11 pts · 2y

And then you find stragglers in there a week later

Can someone who is smarter than me Design something that doesn’t cause this? Haha

petter@lemmy.wtf · 10 pts · 2y

I have a duvet cover with a zipper! I just zip it up before washing it!

ekky43@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 8 pts · 2y

Washing bags exist, usually used for fragile/dangerous (zippers) clothing pieces, but you could surely get them in sheet size too.

BleatingZombie@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 2y

I don't think so. You're the smartest person I know 😌

Nfamwap@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

Button them up before putting them in the machine

Thank you for reminding me to switch my laundry!

BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 2y

Don't forget the dryer sheet.

A paper on this phenomenon would certainly get the Ig Nobel prize!

Bahaha the big sock is what I shall call the duvet cover from now on!

BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y

That's a waste of earth's resources!!! You need to do them all at once, untangle the sheets, restart dryer and repeat four times. Much more efficient!
