Any straightforward way to share GPS position from a Pixel phone to Pixel tablet?

I'm assuming I'm tethering the tablet to the phone via hotspot. Both devices are running GrapheneOS.

Not AFAIK. I think you'd have to get an external Bluetooth or USBC GNSS/GPS receiver with android support maybe?

I've also thought of that option, since it offers flexibility and allows better receiver placement.

Should be able to send GPS coords via messenger (and possibly other texting apps). Click the + icon, then choose location.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I was thinking of continous, transparent position fix acquisition.
