I thought Season 1 was good, and Season 2 was (unfortunately) absolute crap.

Yeah the show runner changed between seasons. The quality of the whole show dropped of a cliff.

I completely forgot there’s a Blade Runner show happening. It’s Amazon so it can go either way, but I hope it’s good.

I don't know if I even knew there was one. I guess I have something to watch until the Cyberpunk show comes out!

Do people on Lemmy actually watch this slop?

The irony of a megacorp making cyberpunk shows haha.

Well, it's not out yet. What do you watch then? Do you hold the same views about, I don't know, Mr. Robot and Severance?

vala@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1y (3 replies)

I'm not going to sit here and shit on popular shows, but yeah these were both terrible and left me feeling like i had wasted my time.

This is very much a "the world and wrong, and I am right" sort of attitude. You may have rather idiosyncratic tastes.

It's not like I think all TV is worthless, just the vast, vast majority of it. Especially anything and everything that a company like Amazon is involved in.

I just thought the people on Lemmy are less interested in consuming corporate brain rot. Like seriously, the idea that AMAZON is funding a "cyberpunk" show should really be enough to turn you off.

Mr. Robot and Severance both are highly acclaimed by critics and audiences. They are both firmly prestige TV regardless of who funded them.
