I scrape off the old one with a razor and clean it with alcohol before putting on the new one

We used to do this in Sweden! That was years ago though. You can sometimes still see older cars with them left on. Some of them are thicc.

In NC i took a few off before putting on another but MT has a permanent option for cars over 11 years old.

Maybe they stick it on the inside of the windshield? That's the only way the comment would make sense to me.

Yes, so there’s no way to stack a new sticker on top of the old one, it can only be placed behind it.

Mine is one of them, but I've almost always had not so great cars that I'm not prepared to bet on making it another 2 years. Also never owned a vehicle for any longer than a couple years so never new there was a limit. The joke is ruined
