I was like "wow these look exactly like Mikado" but after further scrolling I see that is the sub-brand they use in Europe, also belongs to them. Mikado is also a game where you take a bunch of sticks in a bundle, drop them on a table then you have to remove them one by one without touching/moving the others, kind of like Jenga.
Doable. Put structurally supportive but very permeable material, even a mesh of something, in the middle. Maybe cover the ehole thing in that so it keeps it's structure as it burns, or just make the first couple drags like that.
