It's one of the rare cases of a fangame that actually gets finished and is good. The soundtrack alone is worth a playthrough. If you enjoyed Undertale, UTY will feel like a game that fits perfectly in. It works as a prequel and you're the yellow soul kid (fully non canon, though the pacifist ending could work as canon)

In theory, it should be the best for anyone that wants to interact with as many different types of content (lemmy, mastodon, others), but, in my experience, it only really works for following mastodon and has iffy support for lemmy/piefed communities.
Dunno if it was a instance specific problem for me, but communities wouldn't show latest posts, would often fail to load the content and wouldn't show my replies to posts - I checked the main posts with this account of mine and double checked that the friendica instance wasn't blocked or defederated.
To be fair, it's not "taking over the world". A lot of people are (ab)using it thinking it gives them productivity superpowers (it doens't and makes everyone around them see them as talentless hacks)
The real problem (besides the near infinite debt that won't ever be paid) is the neverending hype, with ai-evangelists being worse than cryptobros once they moved to NFTs
