like i cant think of any other explanation
I remember someone posting excerpts from this joke book on Reddit back years and years ago, so it definitely predates AI that could write it. Maybe it was written by someone who doesn't speak fluent English?

It's either that, or somebody got their 5-year-old nephew to tell them jokes and just wrote them down.
I wonder if they're supposed to be Anti-Jokes?
