That link shows their Chrome version. When I click the Firefox repo link on that page it asks me to log in. Is that normal for GitHub? I don't think I've had to log in to view other software.
I'm not sure but this point might be the crucial one:

If you auto disable a plugin because it's detrimental to me, that's awesome
If you auto disable a plugin because it made a billionaire slightly less antisocial rich, then fuuuuuck you.

Edit: will leave original message up. Okay, so Mozilla likely did this because of legal reasons. Still though, then change the wording.yhst it's not you and that your arm is forced.

Unfortunately it does violate the DMCA and so Mozilla must enforce takedown requests or they'll be liable for damages.
