Aftershave: Stirling Soap Co. - I, Rich Moose - Aftershave
Fragrance: Mäurer & Wirtz - Sir Irisch Moos - Eau de Cologne
2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
It's déja vu all over again.
Yesterday's 5 min. 2-pass shave was worse than I originally thought. I barely built a lather, raced the razor around, cleaned up and was out. At the time, I thought it was a good (enough) shave, but later, I noticed a bit of irritation on my chin, and my skin did not have that lasting nourished feeling. I thought maybe the razor's edge condition had fallen off. (Couldn't be me!)
Today's shave rectified all that. I was concerned that the edge took a dive yesterday, but today, I'm back to comfortable BBS goodness. I think the better result is all about the lather. Today I took time to really enjoy a very wet mutton tallow lather and the Moos scent. The razor felt the same way it has all month.
Post-Shave: OAM - oli del benessere sensitive skin toner
Passes & Info: 2-pass face shave, felt good except the same 3 tiny blood spots as last time appeared. Contouring the doorknocker isn't the strong suit of this razor either.
This was a rather comfortable shave except when it came to lining up the beard. The Perun really does great on my head shaves, but this seems to be its weakness. Had to put a little bit more pressure on and go over the same areas multiple times, so the exact same pattern of 3 small blood spots appeared again. Oh well, one can't have everything.
I really took my time for the prep and lathering though and it paid off. Used a "pre-shave scrub" peeling and hot water, built a nice slick lather and the shave was rather smooth.
Also, LGC with its cola scent never ceases to amaze me. This is a really slick soap, but despite all the fancy scent notes it's just pure coke with lime to my nose.

August 19th, 2025: MMOCMQ Day 19
Another good one. This blade is holding on well enough as long as my lather is wet and my angle is right.

I'm continually impressed by the subtle depth of this Petrichor.
