Miranda has a lot of mud flats, and is an important part of the migratory path of these birds.
The river around the Foxton area may be similar.

Miranda has a lot of tidal mud flats, and is an important stop on the migratory path of these birds. Foxton may be similar, there are a lot of tidal mud flats on the river.
