Where I live (NY state) Fire Police are volunteer firefighters who direct/divert traffic at incidents. They have no law enforcement training or role. This frees the PD to do other things.
Traffic police monitors the traffic for violations. By the same logic, fire police would do the same thing, but for fire?? So if your campfire gets out of control, the local fire police would give you a ticket…. I guess.

Is it saying
"STOP! Fire police!"
or
"Stop fire police?"
I'm not sure if it's anti-cop or pro-arsonist. 🤔

So they hired the fella for both fire department and police at the same time?
Does he get twice the pay?
