Ken M is a masterful humorist and comment sections like this are his medium. He plays an idiot who has overlooked a key detail or has misinterpreted something obvious. This one isn't his best work, but some of his earlier stuff is truly genius.
Poe's law. Without a clear and unambiguous mark of intent, any parody will be eventually confused with the real stuff being parodied. Because the real stuff really is just that stupid.
This is why my comments are mostly tangentially related anecdotes from simpler times in my life when Picard was the one and only commander of the Star Trek and Princess Leia was the only hot chick in the Star Wars.
