We'll halfass the fascist thing here in Canada and go fascist lite. Its what we do.

potato_wallrus@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 345d

The difference is, our descent into fascism is way dumber

Math

Yes. And "Lego" is the collective noun.

We could call you fat and stupid if you prefer?

knight_alva@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 345d (1 reply)

Unironically yes, that would be much better. I can control how fat and stupid I am. All I can do for those kids is vote and I’m sure I don’t need to go on about how little that has helped.

PoopBuffet@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 345d

Woah, woah, woah! All you do is vote?! No thoughts or prayers?!? I knew someone wasn't pulling their weight. If you had just sent a few thoughts and prayers then we would have ended those tragedies by now.

I don't know why this needs to go any further than "in which country can everyone afford dental treatment".

abbiistabbii@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 5 pts · 345d

The UK offers dental on the NHS. Part of the stereotype of "bad teeth" comes from the fact that American dentists will market purely cosmetic procedures as "essential" (so they can make money) while UK Dentists only do procedures that are necessary for people's health and wellbeing.

Dental procedures like Veneers are (rightly) seen as cosmetic.

abbiistabbii@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 1 pts · 345d (3 replies)

Nah, personally I just remind them that when Europe thinks of Americans we think of the Film Deliverance.

I live in Alabama, and that's a pretty accurate description of some places here

To be fair, we're all way worse on the banjo than that.

rmuk@feddit.uk · 1 pts · 344d

I was gonna say, that kid was better on the banjo than I am on the vielle à roue.
