To clarify - the name of the village was the literal word 'Fucking', which was printed on the road signs that kept being stolen. Of course, 'Fucking' doesn't mean 'fucking' in German (that would be 'ficken'); according to Wikipedia, the (previous) name of the village ("Fucking") means "(place of) Focko's people".
