That's not how that works. Following your logic, the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness would mean anyone could do anything they want if it makes them happy, which is obviously not true.
This is one of my favorite movies. I never got the impression it was transphobic. It always felt like it was celebrating how weirdly unique everyone can be. Just look at the community that has developed around its screenings.
