https://lemmy.ml/c/test is the appropriate community for this kind of thing.

Confirmed

I can see it and I gave it an upvote. Does it show up as a favorite?

How do comments that are posted originally on lemmy show up on Mastadon?

Edit: Just to clarify, I know that it's possible but i want to know if it looks different from a comment originally posted in Mastadon. Also now I'm curious if edits like this show up correctly?

@Tai I follow a magazine then see all comments posted to that magazine. You tap into a comment and it shows the conversation thread. I’m using @ivory on my phone.

Magazine? Is a "magazine" the mastodon equivalent of a Lemmy community?

tegs_terry@feddit.uk · 6 pts · 3y (1 reply)

Kbin term for community

SkyNTP@lemmy.ml · 1 pts · 3y

I see, so how is someone from Mastadon following a kbin community? Is that like a hashtag?

smorks@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 3y

it's the kbin terminology.

I don't see any post from Mastodon or how to reply to it, I guess it didn't work.

CamsJam@aus.social · 4 pts · 3y (2 replies)

@WhoRoger if you are replying to this from Lenny then it did work. My accounts is a Mastodon acc.

WhoRoger@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 3y

It was a joke :p

CamsJam@aus.social · 1 pts · 3y

@WhoRoger strangely I did not see your reply to this one 🤔

Ahoy there sailor

_haha_oh_wow_@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 3y

Sorry, no magazines here: It's a community because Lemmy.

Seriously though, looks like it worked.

Haily@rblind.com · 2 pts · 3y (3 replies)

Works perfectly. :)

CamsJam@aus.social · 1 pts · 3y (2 replies)

@Haily thanks,
How good is that!

Haily@rblind.com · 1 pts · 3y (1 reply)

Definitely a cool feature, just wish it didn’t dump everything in the subject field when making posts. Also, it looks like you boost posts / comments to upvote them, which isn't exactly ideal if you plan on not pissing off literally all of your followers.

CamsJam@aus.social · 1 pts · 3y

@Haily yeah I think that there’s a lot of room for development. I did see someone else post some guidelines for cross posting from Mastodon. I think they did say there was a way to populate a subject and the post content separately.

ihavenopeopleskills@kbin.social · 1 pts · 3y

@CamsJam Reading it just fine on kbin

jhn@xffxe4.lol · 1 pts · 3y

Looks like it worked to me.
