Strictly speaking, yes, but the word carries a "trained [pseudo-]military actor" connotation that "shooter" doesn't. The choices people make in the words they use are important to pay attention to.
How bad of a sniper do you have to be to only hit detainees if your target is agents? Something doesn't add up here. Writing "anti-ICE" on your ammo is a little too on-the-nose and convenient, don't you think?
If they would just stop letting men play womens' sports, then these poor down-trodden, forgotten, and left-behind white men wouldn't be so upset all the time.
The only reason I made the request is I received a mod report from people who didn’t realize it, and at the time, the votes on your comment were in the negative, so I was concerned it might continue to be misinterpreted.
