Chris Jones insinuates he could sit out for quite some time

I'll admit that I'm getting a little nervous about the whole situation, but I won't fully panic unless the Chiefs restructure someone ELSE'S contract before the Jones deal gets done. From everything I've read, the team was hoping for a new Jones deal to give them some cap flexibility this season. So if all of a sudden, someone like Kelce gets their contract tweaked, that'd indicate that the team has given up on a new Jones deal for now. At least, that's how I'm coping at the moment.

I read elsewhere that if he misses many regular season games that the Chiefs can tag him next year cheap. They said for that reason he would not miss 7-8 games. I have no idea if this is true.
