Fragrance: Spearhead Shaving Company - Seaforth! Roman Spice - Eau de Toilette
Talc: Yardley Classic
3 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
This was the third shave in my 14 Shoot-out series. The Böker had an edge created with a La Petite Blanche coticule. This provided a terrific shave; both comfortable and DS-BBS close.
Though not cheap, I think all of the SV soaps are great. The post-shave skin feel of Cubebe is slightly different from the others. I think this is intentional. The basic Beta 4.3 soap base is one of the most unique and best vegetal soap bases I have used.
Post Shave: Stirling Soap Co. - I, Rich Moose - Aftershave
Post Shave: Dove - Men+Care Ultra-Hydra - Cream

My 80th straight razor shave, and it was very decent. Closeness rivals a lot of DE shaves, and comfort was not a problem.
I tried a cold water shave which I've had good experiences with in the past. Presumably it keeps my pores closed and my skin tends to feel better as a result.
Razor: RazoRock Cyber Medium w Superknurl handle; KAI Captain J-7 shavette
Blade: Tatra; KAI Captain Protouch MG
Lather: Los Jabones de Joserra - The Witcher
Post-Shave: Zingari Man - The Master, recovery splash
Passes & Info: 2 passes on the head with the Cyber; 1 beard lineup with the kamivette. Super pleasant shave.
This was a test to see if I react negatively to any ingredients of the soap - thankfully, it doesn't seem to be the case! The first use of it was probably under a myriad of bad circumstances, so it's nice to know that José's new Vetonia base doesn't give me any problems. I always was very impressed by the quality of JdJ soaps and this one's lather is no exception. In fact I might put it at the top of european artisans.
Today I was also able to appreciate the scent more. It has in fact a bit of a sweet and powdery note to it, reminds me of barbershop soaps. Plus there are definitely some spices, which probably work to give it this "mysterious" touch. In general, it is a masculine fragrance with a unique twist. While "Masala Connection", my other full-size JdJ soap, is more of an old school manly scent, this one is recognisably more modern and experimental.
Using my kamisori shavette yet again and it didn't disappoint this time, as I took things slowly and deliberately. Even worked well on my neck where I did ATG first & only, which usually results in irritation. I was so slow that I actually finished listening to a whole dark ambient album by Stuzha while shaving. And yeah, beard lineup as in cheek line and neck line - I was told bluntly that the circle beard makes me look at least 10+ years older, so until I can grow a nice moustache again it's tamed stubble for me.
Razor: J. Koester's Sons 11/16", full hollow, square point (12)
Lather: Southern Witchcrafts - Gravefruit - Soap
Post Shave: Southern Witchcrafts - Grapefruit - Aftershave
Post Shave: Zingari Man - El Cantinero - Aftershave Serum
Fragrance: Stirling - Arance Mandarini - EdT
A nice and relaxing shave after our flight home today. We passed right by the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta on our way to the airport, which was an awesome way to start the day.
I still haven't stropped this razor since @gcgallant@sub.wetshaving.social honed it. I didn't get great results around my chin and needed to do a cleanup pass, but I think it was due to technique more than anything. The edge still feels plenty sharp.

I got the SV Cubebe splash in a software lot I bought earlier this year, and I really like the scent. How does the soap perform?

It's only been 5 days of Tabac, but the Tabac stamp is still showing on the puck. How many shaves do you think one puck provides?
Have a relaxing Sunday!

IIRC, that razor has steel that is on the softer side. 12 shaves without stropping that is pretty impressive to me.
snooting@wetshav.ing · 3 pts · 328d
It still cuts pretty well! I'm waiting for the efficiency to really drop off before stropping.

I walk away from these challenges with large jumps in my technique. Hope it works that way for you.
