Sometimes I get up early to be extra-on time but then I'm late because of this. I think it's a part of my non-dominant lobe just taking over and saying fuck you and your rat-race to the rest of my brain.
Fucking hate when that happens when I just got home from work. I'm trying to enjoy what little free time I have, and instead I get stuck standing in place and staring at nothing while I disassociate.
NGL though sitting under a tree and watching the clouds drift by in this state is pretty nice
It's like I shift into a different gear.
The chaos in my head falls silent.
The cool of the shade I'm sitting in, the whisper of the wind in the grass and leaves, the chill of the grass on my skin and the soft caress of the wind in my hair, the soft smells of earth and damp moss, the sight of the clouds twisting upon themselves.
The clouds dancing to the sounds of the wind.
It's a moment of peace before something pulls me back.

This is me most nights before bed; except my head is in my hands.

Yeah that one’s on me. I didn’t look at the community before posting my comment (a very adhd thing to do 😅).

Hey friend, what's going on? Anything we can help you with?

My parents say I'd basically do this while putting on my shoes in the morning before school.

My parents always called me a dawdler.
There was always just a lot going on to think about, or I could be not thinking at all.

Several times a month this will happen after lacing one shoe but before lacing the other. I'll stand up, look down at my feet and just shake my head.

This is why I listen to music when getting ready. It's the only way I can tell time is passing.

Dude decompression is undervalued in our society.
It's just crazy to me how we are always doing things that distract us from the void. You need to run towards it, it's good for your mind.
Hell ya, I wish I could just watch paint dry...

I mean I have psychedelics for that.

I get this a lot, just randomly losing half an hour because I'm zoning out. Maybe it's just a lack of sleep
