I don't know the context, but hell yeah Maine potatoes!

It’s the Amish farm stand in Maine where I get my dairy and produce. I posted about the eggs a couple weeks ago.

Dude. How many potatoes do you make??? I buy 1 bag of potatoes, and the bag usually spoils

FrowingFostek@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 313d

I'm not op but, I'm told fresh potatoes keep for a long time and store bought potatoes are already stored for a while before they hit shelves.

Op mentioned in a comment that this was an Amish store so I imagine they get a fresh product.

Please tell me if they are the greatest potatoes you've ever eaten and taste like cheese.

Reverendender@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 313d

I will definitely tell you. Maybe I will fry some for breakfast

Does that say 15.00 on the beets? Like each, or for the whole basket?

bear@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 5 pts · 314d

The whole basket makes a lot more sense. $15 per carrot would be a lot.

Reverendender@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 314d

It’s the whole basket. I’m assuming, because singles were like 2 for a dollar lol.

unexposedhazard@discuss.tchncs.de · 1 pts · 314d (1 reply)

Usually it would be by weight no?

Reverendender@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 314d

It would not. Not here. The other Amish farm stand like 11 miles the other way does use weight for some things, but I don’t like them.
