I’m old enough to remember when Apple was the one with taste. They used to pride themselves on being the classy alternative to user-hostile competitors like Microsoft.
I have Apple Maps, Google Maps, OpenStreets, Organic Maps and Sidekick Pro installed on my phone. Used do use Google until they started getting creepy and Apple Maps started getting decent; then switched to Apple Maps as my default.
If this goes through, Organic Maps becomes the default with Sidekick for car navigation/recorder.

They really want to alienate their loyal customer base, don’t they? Source: I am part of their loyal customer base.

The only reason I used Apple Maps in the first place. Might have to go all in on OSM..

The lack of ads/ ad-related detritus is the only reason people use Apple Maps, which is an inferior product anyway.

Apple Maps has been disenabled in my country since like 2014. And just like that, I don’t miss it anymore
