One of the best groups that existed for reddit was the gonewild chat room. If youre unfamiliar, the link is in the sidebar. I really dig the vibe in the chat (people chilling, chatting, and occasionally getting a little wild).
This seems like a pretty small, but chill community. Would anyone be interested in joining a nsfw one if someone hosted?

I wouldn't hold out hope for there to be anything official set up. It would need to be something that a single person or group set up or need to be piggybacked on an existing platform. I can't think of anything offhand that would work, but I'm not the type to seek out these types of things either.
I don't know how things are done on the Reddit side of things, but it would need constant and heavy moderation because it only takes one underage person or wrecker to ruin the entire thing. It's a lot of liability for any one person and this is an instance run by like 3 volunteers.

it could probably be done but if it's something like reddit chat they're looking for, it would be better to create a community here and link a matrix chat room or something

I think OP would be happy with anything and a Matrix chat would at least have a better feedback loop for chats than posting I suppose, but yeah, they are asking about an Omegle style chatroom or other similar style. Possible to set up yes, but feasibility for the long term is not there unless someone is truly dedicated.

My wife and I were just on gonewild chat last Saturday. 😄 I also wouldn't mind a few more options like that.
I've thought about setting up a similar site but I can't get past some of the issues like moderation, server cost, the legal grey area regarding pornography records keeping, etc. Of all of that, child exploitation would seriously affect me psychologically. I don't think I could live with myself if I created something that could enable that.

That seems a lot to put on your shoulders ? i mean do we blame the folks who did the internet ? , people have been doing that shit since their were humans. Roblox, FB, Snap, IG and on and on all have an issue for example.

That's not a great example considering we hold all of those platforms accountable, even if not necessarily successfully, for the exact things that have been mentioned and they have vastly more resources than any one person could ever hope to have. Handwaving and saying 'these problems exist regardless' is not addressing the fact you would be asking one single person to accept full liability and consequences for when things inevitably go wrong.

Yeah, I suppose. Maybe. But I'd have to moderate and if I came across something like that I'd be destroyed.
I guess to be fair, I've been on the internet since the mid 90s and I haven't ever stumbled upon the little kid shit. I've seen some questionable teen stuff that I've reported. Even on here. That's still extremely rare from my experience but it still isn't a good feeling.
