I don't understand, why are the next to nothing in terms of gif-based communities in the fediverse? I've checked lemmy.world and piefed and it only really seems to be NSFW gifs, everything else is mostly dead.
Is there a particular reason there's barely any gifs or am I just looking in the wrong spots?

Yeah I can, on mobile using boost. Man even when there are gifs though, it's really inconsistent if they play, load, etc.

I can see that, buuuut I'm using the web/desktop/whatever client and not Connect right now. Wait no. I know I've seen some gifs on connect. Maybe it's just that, some are blocked!

That's actually interesting that there isn't much of a gifs community around here. I've never particularly noticed before either. Even that lemmy.world community looks kinda dead on my end. And it's not like it's a niche subject or anything.
