A new report regarding the media rights for TNA Wrestling.
PWInsider also has a story on this.
Both PWI and Fightful lead back to Sports Illustrated's The Takedown.
Basically, AMC is the leading candidate and they also talked with A&E and CW.

AMC is a movie chain, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMC_Theatres, so you are right.
But yeah AMC is also a tv channel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMC_(TV_channel). Apparently no relation to each other, just identical acronyms.

K. In Canada you used to be able to go to the cinema to watch WWE PPV, and the Theatre in our town has been showing new episodes of The Chosen on a weekly basis, so I thought this might be a Theatre revenue stream.

At one point they were. Now they show newer films and shows like The Walking Dead and Interview With the Vampire.

Well half of that sounds good!

I mean, Interview With The Vampire is a really good show, don't get me wrong.

That was the good half I was talking about :P

What could have been with The Walking Dead

I was reading the comics at the time, so by the end of season 2 things were changing enough that I didn't care to keep watching. The comic (& games) did it better anyway.

Remember when network names meant something? Like American Movie Classics or Arts & Entertainment?

When TLC was about learning things and pre-teen me watched episode of episode of The Operation (and wonders why at 40+ I watch horror films all day long) and now you get to learn about how 800lb twins with 20 children each deal with life.
When I used to turn on Discovery before school to watch a science-themed news show and now you get to watch fuckin' crab fishing and probably not much else.
and don't get me started on The Nashville Network > The National Network > The New TNN > Spike TV > Spike > Aborted Movie Network Attempt > Paramount Network clusterfuck I lived through or we'll be here till next year!
