Oke of the best paired courses I ever had was "experimental psychology" and statistics. The first was about the study of how one tries to design a test to isolate a variable(in this case for psychology) to test a hypothesis and then stats was of course about (among other things) how to calculate, measure and determine whether a result was statistically significant.
Just that 3 months with both of those teachers gave me the skills to be able to almost immediately ignore 95% of headlines on the Internet as propaganda for the rest of my life.
They really are stupid beyond imagination. Right-wing Twitter was up in arms today over reports that Zohran Mamdani was going to require New York students to learn Arabic numerals. The stories got millions of views and right-wing politicians and pundits were wailing about it.
