That’s what my manager calls a standup. I mean, I guess I don’t mind if that’s what he wants to do. I just wished he would call it a daily staff meeting or something, rather than a standup.
Sorry, the only free slot on your calendar was at 7:30. But we really need to have the pre-meeting about setting up the meeting to discuss the project timeline change requests.
There was a comic for a little while with a guy who ends up in hell but it's better than his corporate job and his new boss is actually respectful and can't imagine anything but. Also his old boss was a loon who obsessed about how dead subordinate.
Anyone remember the name of that artist or the comic itself? I haven't been on r/comics in ages.

We booked a 4:30 meeting on Friday where all twenty of us will give a five minute update on what we did this week.

I did nothing. Nothing of interest that is. You can see my progress in my jira history

Man, come on, I'm doom-scrolling memes as hard as I can to try and escape these harsh realities.

"Also, you live here now. There's no break from it, ever. You'll still get tired and want sleep, but don't actually need it now that you're dead."

And when your old boss dies he'll be hired to tyrannize you for all eternity.
