Ginger is second only to garlic in the hierarchy of seasonings. Interestingly, both are also things I will happily eat raw.

Just take some ginger root, peel it, cut it into sticks, and you've got something to chew on for a while.

Peel some garlic cloves, throw em in a bowl, chow down. It's great.

this reminds me years ago in a roblox shitpost subreddit there was a post of someone in roblox saying lgbt meant lettuce and other types of food, then i commented something like "so that's what it means? i hate lgbt!" and got banned
