Which kind of owl person are you?
Do you enjoy the bold statement of a fancy pair of tufts?
Or perhaps the aerodynamic, understated look of a smooth, round head?
For me, I'm mostly an Owl of the Above, but some can start to look a little bit like one of the Grey aliens without the tufts. The Snowy Owl is my big exception to that.

Tufts > no tufts

This is mostly correct, except in the case of barn owls, which are the best owl

I feel bad because barn owls are pretty common around me, but they are the main one that gives me freaky alien vibes. It is kinda cool they have such a unique face, but it always gets me tweaked in some primal part of my brain.

The little owl (Athene noctua) is also an exception to the rule. He's just so cute!
Plus all the cool cultural/historical significance

Oh, that one looks a lot like the burrowing owl.
I have seen the old Greek owl coin a bunch of times, but I don't think I knew it was a specific owl. I just looked it up, and saw they still use it on their current 1 Euro coin.

Tufty owls are cuter.
