Just switched to hybrid car (housing situation not conducive to full EV) and crazy thankful for it. My area hasn't been hit as hard as others on gas prices. Just visited my old man and gas there is ~175% of what it was on last visit (winter 2025). He's really regretting only own diesel trucks and large V8 SUVs rn.
The two of us are reasonably well off and are absorbing the hit to finances well, but I can't imagine how it is for others. It really drives home how bad our transport options are in the US.

But feels like there's a ton of quests that are "go hunt this monster", find out the monster's motivations, realize it was the humans/"civilized folk" who dealt the first blow / profaned nature / failed to perform some ritual, Geralt grits teeth and sides with civilization against obviously wronged nature/monster.
So yeah, I didn't see any "its actually domestic abuse" quests, but the games are crawling with "humans have hubris/pride that is their own downfall" commentary.

Don't want to share anything identifiable, but I get semi-regular updates on things in 3 parts of the US. So anecdotally speaking, the chart lines up almost perfectly with what I'm seeing across those areas. Before the war, there was maybe a 5-10% ($2.50 in Republican vs $2.75 in Democrat) spread in gas costs, but now its almost 30% spread ($4.25 in republican vs $3.25 in democrat).
This makes it seem that red states are being hit hardest on this which doesn't seem like that should play as large of a role in gas prices as, say, infrastructure.
Am I seeing a false pattern? Or is there a set of policy measures that blue states have implemented that red states haven't to prevent gas price spikes?

The headline is absolutely wrong. If a service member get out before the end of the contract and they have gotten a signup bonus the military will claw that back. A lot of times the COs and NCOs will find ways to slap these troops with Article 15s and reduce their rank and pay. There is 100 different ways to take a service member's pay and none of it has to do with funding the Iran bullshit. This woman is nothing but a talking head commenting on shit she has no idea about.

Real reason for the hate appears to be that he was actively supportive of a far-right British politician an anti-islam activist (with his own host of problematic issues) and helped with the anti-immigrant protests in 2025.
I'm not familiar the with politician he supported (Tommy Robinson) nor with that batch of protests, so maybe my nonchalance is understating the issue. To me the headline should read "Elon Musk wannabe tried to say he's like Elon Musk. Internet left in turmoil".

Can't speak to those myself, but also the show had some similar themes so would assume that's an underlying motif to the whole series.
