For non USians, this is how Americans consume H²O.

Every home usually has one installed in a "water closet".

I used to go out of my way to use the LMABF8s because they got so much colder than the EZS8Ls.

Peak design, too. I love the boxy look.

I wish the Germans could get on the water fountain train

Black616Angel@discuss.tchncs.de · 5 pts · 289d (1 reply)

We don't really talk about trains to water dispensing machines anymore.

If you had to rely on trains, you would die of thirst before they arrived

Which one gets the coldest consistently?

IME the LMFBA8s, they don't make 'em like they used to.

The ezh2o models were sold out everywhere late 2020 for some reason, along with every touchless faucet known to man. I dislike them on principal just because of that provisioning nightmare. petty, I know, but that's all I think of when I see them, except to wonder how long it has been since the filter was changed. ick.

They never fill to the exact right level and my company waterbottle doesn't even sit on the tray without the water dribbling down the side like a 3-year old getting distracted during potty training

Pretty sure the last 2 is what my college has. The thing that sucks is that a few of them in the library building cannot maintain good pressure, I swear.

One day the ones by the bathrooms will spurt out high and then dwindle to a very gentle stream out the nozzle thing and the next day they'll be fine.

And it's always hit or miss for the fountain on the 2nd floor.

The one in my gym has a bottle sensor that refuses to sense my bottle because it is black, so I have to put my hand over the sensor.
