A man attacked the husband of congresswoman Nancy Pelosi with a hammer, almost killing him. Charlie Kirk laughs about it. He says anyone who bailed out the attacker would be a great patriot

Do I think Charlie Kirk should have been murdered? NO.

But it SICKENS me to see so many americans paying tribute to him.

He laughed about violence

It's too soon....to forget about his last great piece of content.

That which republicans decry means fuckall to me, I know what they cheer for.

Do I think Charlie Kirk should have been murdered? NO.

If somebody roughly equivalent to the progressive version of Charlie Kirk had been murdered instead of Charlie Kirk, do I think Charlie Kirk would have publicly celebrated that murder? Yes.

Do I think Charlie Kirk should have been murdered? NO.

Why not?

phdepressed@sh.itjust.works · 10 pts · 276d (3 replies)

Because he's been martryed. Because in a civil society rather than being murdered he wouldn't have any real base to start with.

RaoulDuke85@piefed.social · 20 pts · 276d

Most people already forgot. Especially his wife.

BurgerBaron@piefed.social · 5 pts · 276d (1 reply)

He's been fast food martyr marketed like a forced meme. So artificial and it shows lol. Nobody genuinely cared that fuckhead died.

phdepressed@sh.itjust.works · 7 pts · 276d

Genuine care is not a necessity for martyrdom. In fact I'd say in most cases there is not genuine care.

Note the lack of anyone concerned about providing medical attention.

At least he can rest eternally grateful knowing that his assassin was NOT a DEI hire.

Armand1@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 276d

Why are we discussing this now? All of this was known back when he died in... September(?!)

Feels like 6 months ago...

ZombiFrancis@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 276d

Who is this guy again? I keep not caring enough to remember.

Something about the Vietcong? And Star Trek? There's just no way of knowing.

Charlie Kirk is so rhetorically owned by this post. I bet he won't even respond

surph_ninja@lemmy.world · -4 pts · 277d

Yeah, I agree with Charlie on this. It’d be funnier and better, if Paul hadn’t lived through it. The scumbag deserves much worse.

Charlie’s death was also hilarious. There’s nothing wrong with taking joy in the obituaries of the fascists backing either party and who are destroying this country.

Cruxifux@feddit.nl · -10 pts · 277d

To be fair I laughed about it too. Fuck that guy. But also fuck Charlie Kirk.
