Knowing the answers makes it impossible for random. 0%, but that’s a decision based on fact, not random. Now my brain has melted into a puddle of paradox.

Goth Night at the Kadan, in the early 2000s, was kick ass! Best part was that Kadan was a dive bar, in the kinda-sketch-not-yet-gentrified neighborhood of Normal Heights, the rest of the week. But for that one night the freaks and bats came out to get hammered! It’s some lame mustachioed hipster cocktail bar now. The whole hood turned into a hipster trainwreck.

Anyway, Goths were good fun! And yes, summer in San Diego posed a complexion problem! 🤣

And you enjoy whatever it is you're doing. I don't give a single dimpled shit what you think, fuckface.

Other day I went to Rossmann, which is Germany's CVS/Walgreens, minus the actual drugs. I wanted an eye flush kit. Nope, no idea what I'm taking about. While I'm in the shop, I ordered an eye flush kit from Amazon, one single bottle, for 8€. They delivered it by 10pm. I was not forced to buy multiple. This is consistent with everything I end up ordering on Amazon after getting frustrated while trying to do basic shopping in Germany. I have Prime. Perhaps this is distant in your location.

I've tried to go without Amazon before capitulating and accepting that the convenience is more important to me than going to multiple stores and being frustrated with the results.

That's not how it works for me. I don't have to buy multiple items to qualify for free shipping and often times the prices are comparable,if not cheaper, than the actual retailer offers on their site.

Nah. Amazon is quicker, no shipping fees, solid return policy and I don't need to break out the credit card and play challenge puzzles with my bank to use it online. I'll do my best to support local retailers on foot, but if I'm ordering online, I want quick and reliable. Sadly, that's Amazon for now.

We were on the same path! I started my own bbs, which eventually got me access to some of the big time bbs clearing houses that had cd towers worth of stuff. They had isdn lines, 28.8 modem banks, etc. I had to do a phone interview with one of them... I think that was "Phantom West" and another one that happened to be in my calling area called "Transfixus Sed Non Mortus", which eventually got busted. Those Phantom guys actually produced pirated discs and manuals to sell at computer swap meets and to China.

Dogs were off the leash then. Did I need Harvard Graphics? No. Was I downloading it? Yup!

As I grow older and can afford software, apps mostly, I'm ok with throwing a little back to the dev. Can fuck right off with a subscription, however.

Back in 1983, when my neighbor copied the Monopoly game for me to play on my C64. Cassette drive. Shit took forever to load. Fun af. At that point, the idea of paying seemed ridiculous. Then came the npd bbs era. Aye, matey. 🏴‍☠️
